About Community + Code

Community + Code is a podcast about the people behind the technology we use.

It started with a sticker I picked up at my first DrupalCon in 2025: Come for the code, stay for the community. Hearing that phrase at my first DrupalCon made me feel at home, and made me realize that it doesn’t matter what tech community we’re in, we’re all connected.

I started this podcast to have interesting conversations with people in the developer communities I’m part of and learn about the things that make people build the cool things that they do. It’s about learning from each other and sharing successes.

Hi! I’m Chris and I’m a Senior Manager of Developer Relations at Pantheon. I’ve been deep in the WordPress and open source community since around 2005. I’ve spoken at events, co-hosted the Binary Jazz podcast that ran for 6 years, and have guested on and hosted livestreams and podcasts.

When I’m not doing Developer Advocate-y stuff, I’m probably prepping a tabletop roleplaying game.
